Yobe Labour Focal Person Visits Minister of Humanitarian, Secures Collaboration

The Focal Person on Labour to the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, Hon. Mohammed Alkali, on Friday 19th December 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian and Social Development, Dr. Bernard Mohamed Doro, in Abuja.

During the visit, Hon. Alkali conveyed the vision and policy direction of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration, particularly its strong commitment to social development, youth inclusion, job creation, and humanitarian interventions in Yobe State. He emphasized that the Governor’s people-centred approach places vulnerable groups, workers, and young people at the heart of governance.

In his response, Dr. Bernard Mohamed Doro warmly received the delegation and commended Governor Mai Mala Buni’s proactive initiatives, describing them as timely, impactful, and aligned with national priorities on social protection and inclusive development. The Minister lauded Yobe State’s growing reputation as a model for youth engagement and social investment in the North-East.

The Honourable Minister assured Hon. Mohammed Alkali of the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate closely with Yobe State, particularly in areas of humanitarian support, social welfare programmes, youth empowerment, and labour-focused interventions that directly improve livelihoods.
