A coalition of concerned people of Bauchi State has thrown its weight behind Senator Halliru Dauda Jika (Dokajin Bauchi) for the 2027 Bauchi State gubernatorial election.
The group cited the senator’s track record of leadership and representation as reasons for their endorsement.
They made this known during a press conference that took place at NUJ Secretariat, Bauchi.
According to Chairman of the coalition Mallam Ahmed Yero said Senator Jika’s past achievements, including his tenure as Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, member of the Federal House of Representatives, who served as Chairman House Committee on Police Affairs, demonstrate his capacity for leadership.
The coalition claims to have conducted outreach and found positive feedback from the people, indicating strong support for Senator Jika’s candidacy.
Ahmad Yero used the medium to appealed Bauchi residents, particularly youth and women, to rally behind the senator in his bid for governorship aspiration.
The group also plans to reach out to stakeholders across party lines, traditional and religious leaders, and the current governor of the state, Sen. Bala Mohammed, to seek their support and prayers.
